"The Nissan LEAF may have hit a few roadblocks, but Nissan is still pulling out the stops to ensure the vehicle’s adoption.
The zero emissions vehicle is now available in an additional six Nissan dealerships in the UK. These six dealerships take the total number of Nissan electric vehicle dealers to 32. These dealerships are equipped to sell and service the LEAF and have been selected to improve coverage for Nissan LEAF customers in the UK.
There are currently smaller, quick chargers being developed that will be installed in the new dealerships in early 2012. The six dealerships currently use a twin-head Podpoint charging post and 16A charging unit, but will become the first UK dealerships to use the new quick chargers. One great aspect of these new chargers, is there ability to charge a Nissan LEAF battery to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
The new Nissan EV dealersips will benefit from fully trained EV Relationship Managers, who will be the point of contact for Nissan LEAF customers. Each EVRM has completed an intensive training program, which allows them to deal with any inquiries Nissan LEAF owners may have."
