Range from 100% charge on Town and Country roads

"Here's my experience over the last 3 days regarding the range I got from 100% charge:-

Obviously, there's lots of variables involved, so, to help see the wood from the trees...
(1) air conditioning was always OFF,
(2) 99% of the time I was in 'D' Drive mode,
(3) and I was being light on the accelerator pedal.

I also was concentrating on the SOC (State Of Charge) bars rather the Estimated Range value.

My journeys are through typical fairly hilly Sussex town and country roads with speeds upto 60, but mostly between 25 & 50 mph.

Results:-
Distance travelled with the 2 red bars remaining was 76 miles (10 bars).

I know I only managed 4 miles from the top bar and 72 miles with the next 9 bars.
So that makes an average of 8 miles per bar (9 * 8 = 72 + 4 = 76).

Based on these figures, I reckon my TOTAL RANGE including the 2 remaining red bars would be 76 + (2*8) = 92 miles.

I don't ever intend to go into the last 2 bars, I would treat them as an emergency reserve.
Interestingly, with the 2 red bars remaining, the estimated remaining range was saying 21 miles. I think this is over optimistic and should be more like 16 miles (ie. 8 miles per bar) for my travel pattern.

I shall probably try the same test in ECO mode."
