"The Nissan Leaf won the 'Environmental Award' at the prestigious 2011 Fleet World Honours earlier this month.
It is the latest accolade for the 100-percent electric, zero emission vehicle, which was also named the '2011 World Car of the Year' at the New York International Auto Show in April and which was also named 'European Car of the Year' back in December.
"Until the Nissan Leaf, electric cars have been a consideration for only the most particular role in a business," said Fleet World editor, Steve Moody. "Now though, the Leaf's practical, four-seat configuration, clever use of iPhone integration and sat nav, as well as class-leading range mean that more fleets will be able to use an EV. And as an added bonus, it's great fun to drive too."

All our quotations show CO2 emissions, fuel economy, list price and much, much more. Remember though that electric vehicles have a number of potential advantages, including, in addition to a government grant of up to £5000 and zero emissions, reduced servicing costs, exemption from London's congestion charge, zero vehicle tax and zero benefit in kind for Company Car drivers."
